CHOIR

It has been a joy to lead the choir this year. The enthusiasm is infectious and I'm sure that all the members
are enjoying my ranting and ravings!!!!! May I thank each and every member for their contribution in the
success that the choir has achieved, and the joy and fellowship it has given.
Special thanks to our accompanist Alex who has performed outstandingly.
The year has seen an increase in the numbers of choristers, but our need for male members is still there as
our tenor and bass section are very small.
Our Year
The year began with a joint Easter service at our sister church in Ruthin, where the choir sang "Thine Be
The Glory"; "Still, Still, Still"; "Gaudete" and "All In The April Evening".
The Choir was then invited to sing at the Sankey Evening in May and performed "Deep Harmony" and
"The Ninety And Nine".
The Harvest season was soon upon us and at the Harvest supper "Pears And Apples"; "All Through The
Night"; "Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen" and a rendition of "The Ash Grove" was sung using the
lyrics of Welsh and English ladies names. The Harvest service included "Come Ye Thankful People Come"
and "For The Fruits Of His Creation".
For the candlelight Christmas service "Joy To The World" ; "Gaudete" ; "The Little Road To Bethlehem"
and "As I Just Sat And Watched Our Sheep" were performed.
A very busy and successful year - may they continue to be so.

PRAYER MEETING
The weekly prayer meetings at St. Thomas' church continue to take place in one of the schoolrooms attached to the church hall, every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm, apart from every 3rd Tuesday of the month, when they are held in the morning at 10.30.
Moving the 3rd Tuesday of the month meeting to the morning has given the opportunity for a number of people to attend, who could not previously attend in the evenings for whatever reason. It also prevents the monthly Guild meeting coinciding with the prayer meeting, thus enabling people to attend both meetings. The meetings are led by Mr. Andrew Smith, Mr. Richard Lake and Mrs. Janette Roberts, but recently Mrs. Barbara Crawford has become part of the team and we are very grateful for her contribution and support. Each of the leaders has their own way of conducting the meetings, which gives colour and variety to the prayer and meditations.
We continue to pray for the people whose names are on the 'sick list' from the monthly Healing Service. The people of our church and all the activities connected with our fellowship are encompassed in our prayers. We also include anything and anybody, local, national and world-wide, that we feel needs lifting up to God, as the Spirit leads us. We hope these meetings are beneficial spiritually not only to those who attend them, but also to the life of our church. New members and leaders are always very warmly welcome.
